The Association of Hispanists of Serbia calls for participants for the 8th edition of the International Summer School of Latin American Studies (EVELA 2024):

  • Location: In person in Belgrade and Novi Sad (four days in Belgrade and one day in Novi Sad, where the group will go together from Belgrade)
  • Dates: 8-12 of July 2024 (from Monday to Friday)
  • Schedule: between 12:00 pm and 8:00 pm, 2 or 3 lectures per day (the exact schedule will be confirmed in due course)
  • Participation fee: 35.00 EUR (travel expenses to Novi Sad are included)

Requirements for potential participants:

→ Undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD students who belong (but are not restricted to) to the following profiles: Latin American Studies, Hispanic Philology, Literature, Art, History, Sociology, Anthropology, Political Science, Economics, Law, Journalism, and other fields related to Latin America and the Caribbean.

→ Knowledge of English and Spanish. It will not be necessary to present a language certificate.
In contrast, it is expected that the participants make an objective evaluation of their knowledge of the mentioned languages, so that they can participate actively in the activities of the Summer School.
 
We remind you that the interventions can be done in any of the two languages, so it will be enough to have advanced knowledge of at least one of them and communicate easily and follow the lectures in the other language, even passively.

→ 80% of all lectures and workshops are mandatory for a participant to receive a CERTIFICATE.
