Dejan Mihailović

Graduated from Philosophy and Sociology at the University of Novi Sad, and received MA and PhD degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in Latin American Studies (field: Political Philosophy). Research areas: political philosophy, political science, geopolitics, sustainability and development, international relations, ethics, theories of globalization.

Bojana Kovačević Petrović

Collaborator on the project, assistant professor for Spanish Language at the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Novi Sad
Graduated and received MA degree from Spanish Language and Hispanic Literatures at the Faculty of Philology at the University of Belgrade, where she also received PhD in the area of Latin American literature. Research areas: Latin American literature, Translatology, Hispanic cultures, contemporary Spanish language, Hispanic drama and Spanish literature.
Andrea Matallana

Andrea Matallana

Professor at the Department of History, Torcuato Di Tella University at the Ricardo Rojas Cultural Center (UBA), Argentina.
Andrea Matallana is sociologist and holds MA in Social Investigation (UBA) as well as a PhD in History (UTDT). She is professor at Department of Historic and Social Sciences at the University Torcuato Di Tella and University of Buenos Aires. She was a Fullbright Research Fellow at the University of California, Davis (2019). She was awarded with scolarships of Terra Foundation for American Art (2017), Fulbright Commission in MIAS at the NYU (2012), Foncyt (Ministry of Science and Tecnology) and of the National Arts Fund. Matallana coordinates the Study Group on Entertainment Culture at the University of Di Tella. She is the author of various books among which the last are Nelson Rockefeller and the Art Diplomacy in Latin America (Eudeba 2021), The Tango between the two Americas. Representations in the USA during the first decades of 20th century ( Eudeba 2016, and an anterior edition A Contracorriente 2013).

Andrej Grubačić is the Editor of the Journal of World-Systems Research and the founding Chair of the Anthropology and Social Change Department at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. The main topic of his research is a comparative study of democracies and societies without a state on the world-scale. He is the author, most recently, of Living at the Edges of Capitalism: Adventures in Exile and Mutual Aid (UC Press, 2016), co-authored with Denis O’Hearn and awarded the 2017 American Sociological Association prize for Distinguished Scholarship; and Don’t Mourn, Balkanize! Essays After Yugoslavia (PM Press, 2010).

Igor Štiks

Writer and professor at the Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia; professor at the Department for Critical Political Studies of the Faculty of Media and Communications, University of Belgrade, Serbia.
Igor Štiks is a professor at the Faculty of Media and Communications in Belgrade and a senior research fellow at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. He previously worked and taught at the universities in Edinburgh, Ljubljana, Sarajevo and Graz. Earning his PhD at the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris and Northwestern University, Štiks later published a monograph, Nations and Citizens in Yugoslavia and the Post-Yugoslav States: One Hundred Years of Citizenship (Bloomsbury, 2015). Together with Jo Shaw he edited the collections Citizenship after Yugoslavia (Routledge, 2013) and Citizenship Rights (Ashgate, 2013), and, with Srećko Horvat, Welcome to the Desert of Post-Socialism: Radical Politics after Yugoslavia (Verso, 2015). Activist aesthetics (Rosa Luxemburg SEE, 2021) and The New Balkan Left: Struggles, Successes, Failures (with o K. Stojaković, Rosa Luxemburg SEE, 2021) are his most recent publications. His novels, A Castle in Romagna and The Judgment of Richard Richter (originally published as Elijah’s Chair) won numerous awards and have been translated into 15 languages. His most recent novel W (Fraktura, 2019) is dedicated to a century of revolutionary struggles in Europe. He was honoured with the French distinction Chevalier des arts et des lettres for his literary and intellectual achievements.
Guido Herzovich

Guido Herzovich

Research Assistant of CONICET at the Institute of Hispanic-American Literature of the University of Buenos Aires, Argentine
Guido Herzovich is a literary researcher, writer and translator. He studied Literature at the University of Buenos Aires, earned his PhD in Cultural Studies from the Columbia University (New York), and had research visits at École de Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (París) and the Ibero-American Institute (Berlin). He is an investigator at the CONICET group (Argentina). He taught literary theory at the University of Arts and Argentine cinematography in NYU and Buenos Aires. In 2021 he won Ampersand prize for his book Kant en el kiosco (Kant at the kiosk), which will be published in Argentina in 2022. He is one of the editors of argentinian annual journal of literature El Ansia, and was responsible for Latin-American adaptation of Vocabulary of Western Philosophy by Barbara Cassin (México: Siglo XXI, 2018). He lives in Mexico City, where he is a visiting researcher at the UNAM.

Profesor titular, director del Departamento de Estudios Hispánicos e Iberoamericanos del Instituto de Romanística y director del Centro Iberoamericano de la Facultad de Humanidades y CC Sociales de la Universidad de Pécs, Hungría. Coeditor del anuario Iberoamericana Quinqueecclesiensis y autor de varios libros y ensayos sobre historia, política, relaciones internacionales, cultura. Miembro de varias organizaciones internacionales (CEISAL, AHILA, ADHILAC) y de varios grupos de investigación. Areas de investigación: América Latina durante la Guerra Fría y en el mundo postbipolar, El Caribe hispano, Estudios migratorios transatlánticos, Europa Central y Oriental – América Latina: estudios comparados.
Branko Anđić

Branko Anđić

Serbian writer, translator and journalist
Professor of Comparative Literature at the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade. He completed his postgraduate studies in Literary Theory, and he is an expert in Latin American narrative. He translated the works of the Latin American, North American and Spanish writers, such as M. Vargas Llosa, J. Donoso, C. Fuentes, PJ Gutiérrez, F. Vallejo, D. Bezmozgis, D. Sedaris, and J. L. Borges, A. M. Shua, L. Heer , I. Blaisten, G. Martinez, J. Gelman, S. Schweblin.
Uroš Ušćebrka

Uroš Ušćebrka

Artist, sculptor
Uroš Ušćebrka was born in Belgrade. He graduated in Applied Sculpture at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade in 1995 and specialized in large format sculptures. He is a member of the Association of Applied Artists and Designers of Serbia (ULUS). In 1997 he lived and worked in Brescia, Italy, specializing in large format stone sculptures. From 1997 to 1998 he studied and worked at the Centre for Restoration and Conservation of the National Museum in Karatas, Serbia. In 1999 he received a scholarship from the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs for a master's degree in Architectural restoration at the University of Veracruz, where he received his master's degree in 2004. Since 2001 he has been a permanent employee at the Faculty of Plastic Arts of the University of Veracruz. His interests include sculpture, urban intervention and applied arts. He organized 21 solo exhibitions in Mexico and Serbia. He participated in more than 50 national and international group exhibitions in Mexico, Serbia, Romania, South Korea, Japan, Spain and USA. He also participated more than 40 times in national and international symposiums, conferences and seminars in Romania, Serbia, Portugal, Japan, Mexico. He did more than 10 public projects and was awarded with different national and international prizes.
